Today, things were locked into play.
Apprehension became recognition; tension became action.
Down the hill we go of what was established long ago.
Broken vows, a separate house, and a strength we must arouse.
God's will be done. We'll let things run
Though it might not be much fun.
And though your wisdom be the best
We've come to the point.
At which in You, we must trust.
You don't disappoint.
Oh Lord God bring us through.
Draw out our might and make up for our weak.
And though our lives may be set askew.
We know you'll always be true.
A divorce, of course, is not ideal.
It certainly does not appeal.
But what's done is done.
And the battle is not won.
However, a greater picture doth remain.
Your glorious work soothes all pain.
Upon you alone do we depend.
Hold fast to us 'til the very end.
Amen.
Hurting for you. Praying. Loving from far away.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully expressed! I am so sorry and praying, entrusting you all to the Lord.
ReplyDeleteStand strong in God . . . For after winter summer comes;
After night, day returns;
And after a storm, calm is restored. Thomas a Kempis (1380-1471)
